Madison & Drew | An Adriatica Village Engagement Session

Hello!!

I am so excited to share Madison & Drew’s Adriatica Village Engagement Session with you! When this 2018 Miss Texas Beauty first reached out to me, I was absolutely thrilled!! She is seriously the cutest thing and one of the sweetest brides that I have ever had the pleasure of working with. Plus following along with her fashion, makeup tutorials and adventures in teaching via her blog and instagram is a welcomed addition to my feed! Drew is laidback, hilarious and these two compliment each other just perfectly.

When we first started discussing engagement locations around Dallas Ft. Worth, I suggested Adriatica Village because it has a similar style to their wedding venue, Villa di Felicita in Tyler, Texas. Madison loved the European feel of it with all the columns and white stone. We paired it with a local field in McKinney that I photograph at a ton to help give her two totally diverse locations and a pretty sunset. It was such a blast and to say I was excited for their wedding after their session would be an understatement!

Little did we know during their engagement what would come later with Covid-19. When April came around and we were in the thick of a pandemic, Madison and I began discussing back up days for their wedding. Drew and Madison along with their families, made the difficult decision to postpone their big wedding to August 22nd, 2020. I know there were definitely some tears shed but these two handled it with such grace and resilience. They opted to have a small ceremony on May 30th at Drew’s family cabin and I was so delighted to be there to photograph it.

Even as I share this post today, I am headed to meet Madison in Tyler, Texas at Villa di Felicita for her long-awaited bridal session! Yay!! What a silver lining it has been that I am able to photograph one of the most deserving couple’s weddings not only once but twice!! Although things haven’t been ideal for Madison, Drew and for many more of my 2020 clients when it comes to planning their wedding, I have been truly impressed and humbled in how they have all made the best of an unprecedented situation.

I am so looking forward to seeing Madison all done up today in her wedding dress and to finally see her venue in person. Of course you know, I’ll be sharing the photos here later on this summer!
