What a joy it was meeting up with this happy couple for their riverwalk inspired engagement session! Although Caroline and Grant now live in Dallas they both grew up in the San Antonio Area  so it was important for them to incorporate a bit of their hometown into their engagement session. When Caroline mentioned the mandalay canals reminding her of the San Antonio Riverwalk, I knew this would be the perfect, local spot to bring their vision to life .

Honestly, I just adored this session and so wish I would have used this spot more for engagements when I lived in Dallas. The water, old worldly feel to the buildings and the happiness radiating from this adorable couple really made this session special.

I first chatted with Caroline a few months back and loved that she was a fellow UT Longhorn and Miss Texas 2016!  I knew right away she had to be friends with one of my favorite past brides, Madison who was also a Miss Texas winner, and then she proceeded to tell me how she attended her wedding last summer. You know what they say about the company you keep, well I just knew Caroline and Grant would be a wonderful couple to work with! There is no greater compliment as a wedding photographer than when a guest attending a wedding sees you in action and  then chooses you to be their photographer too.

These two will be tying the knot in just a couple months at The Hillside Estate and I am thrilled to be tagging along as their third wheel for the entire day 🙂
