Dallas Wedding Photographer | Filter Building Wedding

Hello!

Well it’s not secret that Courtney and Craig are one of my most favorite couples and with that said I’m going to be sharing tons and tons of photos in this blog post!  These two are just so darling together. I love how well they compliment each other. Courtney is an amazingly organized  planner  herself, a lover of spreadsheets, pizza and Real Housewives. She is also such a selfless, caring person. Craig is pretty awesome too! He is the friendly guy in the group that people just tend to gravitate toward. He puts people at ease and always seems to be laughing or joking around.

Courtney and Craig  met at RunOn’s Wednesday night social and they’ve spent quite a bit of time running the trails around White Rock Lake, so the Filter Building was a must-have spot for their big day. For their engagement session we chatted over the best brussel sprouts ever (shout out to Cane Rosso), pizza and wine while taking a few engagement photos of course. Working with these two was a breeze and more like a reunion with old friends.

So it may be a bit of a shock when I tell you that right before their wedding,  I was a bit stressed out.  Not over anything to do with them or in their power but just over the weather. Usually, weather doesn’t get to me too much but with the amount of rain we were getting in the Dallas Fort. Worth Area,  I  was concerned for Courtney (Craig, I knew you’d be fine) and her vision.  Her dream of getting married outside over the lake that her and Craig spent so much time at, was pretty much not going to happen and I was also concerned about flooding around the venue.  The day of the wedding I left extra early and thank goodness because it was raining so bad that I could barely see out of my windshield and about a block away from The Filter Building I was re-routed  due to a small river running through the road. It was not looking good at all.

Well I guess these two had some good juju going for them because once I pulled in,  the rain totally cleared. We had clouds but we could actually go outside and that was all we needed. One of my favorite moments from their wedding day was their first look. The excitement on Courtney’s face was priceless. I also loved the last moment of her mom walking her down the aisle. I don’t know if everyone saw but Courtney laid a big fat kiss on her mom with lipstick included and them laughing together was just the sweetest moment. Finally, one of my favorite images from the day was of Craig’s mom during their mother-son dance and her looking at Craig just melted my momma heart. This was of course before he put on his Corona Hat for the rest of the evening and that’s pretty much how I will think of him now 🙂

So here it is! I’ll stop talking.  Thank you guys for having me. Everything about working with you was an absolute pleasure!
