Hello!
Becca and Jordan are married! Yay! I could not be more happy for these two who tied the knot just a couple weeks ago on March 23rd at La Cour in McKinney, Texas. I first met them over a year ago at their initial consult and it was a pleasure just hanging out with them. We chatted about their jobs, cats and some of the little quirks between the two of them. I enjoyed the playful banter between the two of them but it was always clear how much these two love each other. It kind of reminded me of the relationship that I have with my husband, which obviously I am a little biased but I think it’s pretty awesome!
Going into their wedding day, they had some personal things happen and the weather was calling for thunderstorms, pretty much worse case scenario when you are planning on an outdoor ceremony. You guys, weddings can get a bit stressful toward the end and my main focus was to provide Becca & Jordan with an amazing wedding experience when it came to photography. I wanted them to have the best wedding day possible!
It did end up raining during bridal portraits, but we just added in a clear umbrella and went inside for a few minutes when it got a bit heavy. I have to say the umbrella photos are some of my favorite shots from the entire day. Becca killed it and luckily that bit of rain was the worst weather of the day! The ceremony ended up being perfect and the sun even started poking through the clouds during family formals. I absolutely adored their wedding day because it was a total metaphor for life. Every little thing about weddings can not always be perfect but it is our job to help couples enjoy the ride and know that it always works out in the end as I’m sure Becca and Jordan would agree! Maybe it’s just all a little preparation for real married life together 🙂
These two had a a great team of vendors surrounding them including Amy the owner of La Cour who is one of the most helpful venue owners around! Alba Dahlia Floral absolutely nailed it with the gorgeous floral arrangements and the decorated arch was a perfect pop of color on a cloudy day for the ceremony and family formals. Soundmasters DJ kept the dance floor full and Lisa with Panache events was so incredibly helpful with bringing all the little details together. Oh and shout out to Hailey who was the most helpful maid of honor ever, we may have become bffs for the day!
Some of my favorite moments of the day was the bridesmaids reaction to seeing Becca in her dress for the first time! If you want some type of first look but maybe not with your groom, bridesmaids are the way to go because they LOVE seeing you in your dress! Becca’s first look with her dad was also just so incredibly sweet. You could see in her face how special this moment with her dad was as he opened up the gifts she gave him. Lastly, I loved their couples prayer before the ceremony. They weren’t able to see each other but it was almost as if when they grabbed hands the excitement about what was about to happen really kicked in. They may have laughed a bit then cried but you could also feel how Jordan was such a rock of strength for his bride.
I’m so incredibly happy for you two. Enjoy the Dominican Republic and have a cocktail or three for me!
