Hello!

I had so much fun with this beauty during her Bridal Session at The Loft on Louisiana. Ashley has such a warm presence about her and I adored her constant laughter. She showed up with her mom and sister and we made our way through the streets of Downtown McKinney with a few jokes here and there.

One of my favorite things about bridal sessions is having a chance to build more of a connection with my brides and their mothers, sisters, maid of honors or whomever they may bring along for support and to maybe toss a veil once or twice. Bridals are a great way to be able to take your time between locations and they allow you a chance to slow down a bit to chat about things other than just the wedding.

Bridal sessions can also be a real confidence booster for your client. I know that this is sometimes a no-no with photographers but I always share an image or two from the back of my camera. I want them to know they look flawless and I am constantly reminding them of  this throughout their entire session. I want the bride to know how I see her during our time together and that she looks amazing! I can always feel a greater sense of trust after this and sometimes if the bride is a bit shy it can really allow her to come out of her shell.

Bridal Sessions are also the perfect way for me to further establish trust with the bride and her family or friends.  Since they get to see how I work and approach situations before the wedding day it opens up the door for them to further trust me. It can create a positive, memorable experience for everyone long before the wedding day. There is no better way for me to start a wedding day than showing up and already being well acquainted and a few of her closes loved ones and bridal sessions are one of the best opportunities to make this happen.  Plus, I’m not sure how I didn’t already mention this but they are so much fun and who doesn’t want just one more day to twirl around in their your wedding dress?!
