Hi everyone!!

I know I have been gone for a bit.  A lot has happened… Donnie and I relocated from San Diego back to McKinney, Texas, bought our first home, changed jobs, got our first puppy, Rufus, and had a beautiful baby girl, Ayla, just last month.  Whew, I lose my breath just typing all of that.  A new girlfriend of mine nicknamed me the ‘girl with life events’ and I embrace it.  My life has been crazy but I love it and wouldn’t trade it for anything.  So after all of that, you could say moving everything over for my business was a little overwhelming and I decided to take a break to think about truly where I want this business to go.  I am still a work in progress, but I am ready to start building this baby back up in Texas where i first started this business.

 

In the meantime, I wanted to share a little about what has been going on in my life recently  and it’s this little girl right here.  I love her to pieces.  It’s crazy how first this first month has gone so fast but yet I feel like she has been around forever.

 

This first photo was taken at about a week and a half.  It really made me respect newborn photographers a lot more.  Not that I didn’t before, but man this is hard work.  I think it’s especially hard when you are the photographer and the parent at the same time.  I will spare you the nasty details on what it took to get this shot so you can enjoy the image 🙂

Ayla turned one month yesterday, May 25th, so of course we had to have a mini session. I worked really hard on finishing the rocker she is sitting on and couldn’t wait to stick it in the backyard.  These were some of my favorites of my little chub.
